How To Update Your Containers If Needed

How To Refill With Your Reserves

To use the refill stations, you must first purchase blood, lumens or cider from the cashier shack nearby. Resources purchased this way will go to your "Reserve" on you proflie in your cellar, and will be available to refill into your containers. Note: If you have previously purchased reserve that you did not finish withdrawing, it will still be there with no need to pay again for what you have already purchased. Additionally, if your vital was moved to your reserve during a Container Trade-In, you do not need to pay to retrieve the reserve.

To use the refill station, you need to be wearing a Refill Key. Refill Keys are free, and you can get one by clicking the Refill Key vendor in step 2 at the refill station. If you use the station without wearing a Refill Key, the refill will still work, but your tank won't update with the new amount. If this happens, you can get your tank to update by re-rezzing it, or by drinking from it or filling it. Once you are wearing your Refill Key, and you have purchased the metric that you wish you refill (or if you know that you already have existing reserve to withdraw from,) follow these instructions to use the refill stations:

  1. Get the instructions notecard
  2. Get a Refill Key from the board, and attach it to your avatar. Keep it on during the refill process.
  3. Pay the cashier shack for the amount of blood, lumens, or cider you want. NOTE: If you are retrieving previously purchased vital, or vital transferred to your reserve during container trade-in, skip this step.
  4. Rez your container in the clearly marked area.
  5. Click on the refill station, choose "Proceed," and then click on your container and choose "Select." This will prompt you with some refilling options.

Here are a couple things to note

  1. Metrics in your Reserve Account don't contribute to your wealth.
  2. Reserve Accounts can only be accessed through refill stations. You can't move metrics into your Reserve Account from existing containers, you can't drink directly from your Reserve Account, and you can't move metrics between Reserve Accounts on different avatars.
  3. Having metrics in your reserve account won't prevent you from being destroyed by the Curse, just like having metrics in containers doesn't protect you.
  4. Reserve Accounts don't affect or interact with anything else in the game, they just give you a convenient way to refill empty containers.

FAQ

Q: Why do I need the key?

A: The key facilitates communication between your tank and the refill station. If you use the station without wearing the refill key, the refill will still work, but your tank won't update with the new amount.

Q: I forgot to wear the key and refilled my tank but it didn't update, now what?

A: If this happens, you can get your tank to update by re-rezzing it, or by drinking from it or filling into it using the menu options.

Q: When I buy blood, lumens, or icder from the cashier, where does it go?

A: Resources purchased this way will go to your "Reserve," and will be available to refill into your containers. You can view your reserve by clicking into your blood cellar, lumen vault, or cider tavern on your Bloodlines web profile.

Q: Once I have my blood, lumens, or cider in my reserve, do I have to put them in a container immediately?

A: No. You can leave resources like this in your Reserve indefinitely, and then just use them to fill a container the next time you're at a Refill Station.

Q: Do blood, lumens, or cider in my reserve contribute to my wealth?

A: No.

Q: Can I drink directly from my reserve?

A: No.

Q: Will blood, lumens, or cider in my reserve protect me from The Curse?

A: No. Having metrics in your reserve account won't prevent you from being destroyed by the Curse, just like having metrics in containers doesn't protect you. Essentially, Reserve Accounts don't affect or interact with anything else in the game, they just give you a convenient way to refill empty containers.
