In the Bloodlines world, the lycan Curse takes away a small portion of your lumens every day, hence the need to constantly feed on mortals in order to be able to shapeshift. The Totem protects a lycan from the effects of the Curse - in this case it will protect the first person to wear or rez the totem for 5 days. Once the Totem's power has run out, you will keep the object itself, but the Curse will once again begin exacting its daily toll of lumens from your system. The Totem need not be worn constantly to take effect - once rezzed or worn its effects will begin to work, and the piece itself can be put back into the inventory. Be sure which avatar you wish to protect with Totem however - once rezzed, the protection can NOT be transferred to another avatar.
****WARNING - The Totem ONLY protects a lycan from the draining Curse each night. You can still be destroyed if you let someone drain all of your lumens, or drain it all away into a Prism on accident****

Setup
Included in the box is your Totem attachment.
To attach your Totem, simply right-click and choose "wear".
Once your Totem is rezzed or attached for the first time, it will begin to protect you from the Bloodlines lycan Curse for the duration indicated on the piece. At the end of that duration you will keep the Totem, but it's power will be gone and the Curse will take effect on you again.
